How to Watermark a PDF

1

Select Your PDF

Drop the PDF into the upload box. It is opened locally and the first page appears in the preview.

2

Design the Watermark

Type a text or choose a logo image, then adjust size, color, opacity and rotation. Place it in the center, in one of nine positions or tile it across the page.

3

Download

Click “Add Watermark” to save the watermarked PDF. Your settings stay, so you can try another variant right away.

Protect and Brand Your Documents

A watermark shows at a glance that a document is a draft, confidential or a copy, and discourages unauthorized sharing. A semi-transparent logo brands proposals, price lists and portfolios.

Text watermarks are drawn as real PDF text in any language, including Greek and Cyrillic. Image watermarks keep their transparency (PNG, WebP). Rotated and landscape pages are handled automatically, so the watermark always appears where the preview shows it.

Please note: a watermark is drawn on top of the page content. It deters copying, but someone with a PDF editor can still remove it – it is not a replacement for encryption.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Switch to “Image” and select a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF file. Transparent PNGs keep their transparency; size, opacity and rotation are adjustable.

Can I repeat the watermark across the whole page?

Yes. Choose the “Tiled” placement and the text or image is repeated in a staggered pattern over every page.

Can I watermark only certain pages?

Yes. Enter the pages in the “Pages” field, for example “1” for the first page only or “2-10” for a range.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The watermark is added locally in your browser. Neither your PDF nor your logo is ever uploaded.
