Cut scanned double pages apart
When a book or magazine is scanned with two pages on each sheet, every PDF page contains a double-page spread. “Every page down the middle” turns each spread into two separate pages in the correct reading order, which makes the document much easier to read on phones and e-readers. Rotated pages are handled correctly, and the right-to-left option puts the right half first for manga and Arabic or Hebrew books.

Where is the split point when the page count is odd?
The first part gets the extra page: a 7-page PDF is split after page 4. You can change the split point to any page before downloading.
How do I split scanned double pages into single pages?
Choose “Every page down the middle” and the “Left | Right” direction. Each page is cut into two, so a 20-page scan becomes a 40-page PDF. Tick “Keep portrait pages whole” if the cover was scanned as a single page.
Can I cut pages horizontally?
Yes. With the “Top / Bottom” direction every page is cut into an upper and a lower half – handy for two receipts or forms printed one above the other on a single sheet.
Is the text still selectable after cutting pages?
Yes. Pages are cropped rather than converted to images, so the quality is unchanged and text remains selectable and searchable.
