Unlike JPG, PNG compresses images without losing any detail. Small fonts, thin lines, tables, charts, diagrams and logos stay perfectly crisp, with no blurry edges or compression artifacts. That makes PNG the best format for screenshots in documentation, slides for presentations, technical drawings and anything you might edit further in an image editor.
Turn on the transparent background to place a PDF logo, signature or vector graphic on any colored background – areas the PDF does not paint stay see-through. PNG files are larger than JPGs, so for photo-heavy pages or quick sharing PDF to JPG may be the better fit. Everything is processed locally in your browser.

Should I convert my PDF to PNG or JPG?
Choose PNG for text, diagrams, logos and screenshots where sharp edges matter, or when you need transparency. Choose JPG for photos and scans when a smaller file size is more important than pixel-perfect quality.
Can the PNG images have a transparent background?
Yes. Tick “Transparent instead of white” and every area that the PDF does not paint stays transparent. Note that many PDFs – especially scans – contain a white background themselves, which then remains visible.
What resolution do the PNG images have?
At 150 DPI an A4 page becomes about 1240 × 1754 pixels, at 300 DPI about 2480 × 3508 pixels. Extremely large pages are scaled down automatically to stay within browser limits.
How are multiple pages delivered?
All selected pages are bundled into one ZIP archive with files named page-001.png, page-002.png and so on. A single page downloads directly as a PNG.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens entirely on your device in the browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
