What This HTML to PDF Converter Is Good For
Quickly turn a snippet of HTML into a PDF you can send or print: an invoice or receipt template, an e-mail newsletter, a certificate, a simple report or a page you built yourself. The HTML is laid out exactly as wide as the printable area of the chosen page, then cut into as many pages as needed.
Please note the limits of a browser-only converter. The result is a high-resolution image of your content, so text in the PDF cannot be selected or searched (run it through PDF OCR if you need that). JavaScript in your code is not executed for safety reasons, page breaks are placed at fixed heights rather than following CSS page-break rules, and external images or fonts only appear if their server allows cross-origin access. Inline styles, <style> blocks and data-URI images work best.
Frequently Asked Questions about HTML to PDF
Can I select or copy the text in the generated PDF?
No. The rendered HTML is captured as an image and placed on the PDF pages, so the text is not selectable. Use the PDF OCR tool afterwards to add a searchable text layer.
Why are some images missing from my PDF?
Images loaded from other websites can only be captured if their server allows cross-origin (CORS) access. Embed images as data URIs or host them on a server that sends CORS headers to make sure they appear.
Does JavaScript in my HTML run?
No. The HTML is rendered in a sandbox without script execution, and event handlers are removed. Content that is generated by JavaScript will therefore not appear.
Can I convert a website by its URL?
No. Browsers do not allow one site to load another site’s content, so you need to paste the HTML code. To save a live web page as PDF, use your browser’s Print dialog and choose “Save as PDF”.
Is my HTML sent to a server?
No. Rendering and PDF creation happen entirely in your browser. Only resources your code links to, such as external images, are loaded from their servers.
