Why Split a PDF?
Splitting a PDF breaks a large document into manageable parts: separate the chapters of a book, pull single invoices out of a monthly statement, or create smaller files that fit through email attachment limits.
Use custom ranges when you know exactly which pages belong together, every N pages for documents with a regular structure (for example two-page forms scanned in one batch), and every page to burst a PDF into single-page files. Tick “Merge all ranges into one PDF” to combine several ranges – even in a different order – into one new document.
Pages are copied without re-compression, so text stays sharp and searchable. Everything happens locally in your browser, which makes the tool safe for confidential documents.

Can I split a PDF into multiple files at once?
Yes. Every range you enter becomes its own PDF, and the “Every N pages” and “Every page” modes create as many files as needed. When there is more than one file, they are downloaded together as a ZIP archive.
How do I write page ranges?
Separate entries with commas: “5” is a single page, “1-3” is pages 1 to 3, and “8-” means page 8 to the last page. Page numbers outside the document are reported so you can correct them.
Does splitting reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are – text, images and vector graphics are not re-compressed.
Can I save just part of a PDF?
Yes. Enter a single range such as “4-7” and you get one PDF with exactly those pages – no ZIP archive.
Is it safe to split confidential PDFs here?
